Hi Girls and Guys,
Great news we can start line dancing again at the Studley Village Hall from Monday 10th August. It’s with new ‘Rules and Regulations’ though but when we can at last get back to line dancing it’s going to be a small price to pay.
First, I have to say that you must not come into the hall if you or anyone in your household has had COVID-19 symptoms in the last 7 days. Or if you or anyone in your household develop symptoms within 7 days of you visiting the premises you must tell me so I can alert others with whom you have been in contact.
Please wait outside the hall at the required distance until Alan ticks your name and lets you come into the hall. I shall be just inside where we dance. If it is raining please wait in your car till Alan tells you to come in.
I will take your temperature on your forehead this will be (A) to give confidence for anyone who has an ‘underlying illnesses’ husband/partner at home and (B) if you have not been out during the lockdown to show that everyone in the hall has a healthy temperature. Also, this will help if you yourself have an underlying illness.
The Cash Box will be on the stage and please put the right money (£4.00) if possible or take the necessary change and wipe your hands with the sanitizer provided.
The chairs will be 2 metres apart and numbered markers will on the floor where you will each stand to start a dance. Although they are proper floor markers please be aware, they are there.
All the doors will be open, so you do not have to touch the handles.
Only two people are allowed in the toilets at any time, so please wait outside in the corridor until someone comes out. To avoid passing anyone please go out the doors opposite the stage and when you come back come along the corridor and come into the doors on the left side of the hall.
Please remember to bring a bottle of drink with you as no one is allowed into or use the kitchen, FOR ANY REASON and a notice will be on the kitchen door to this effect. If anyone spills a drink, a mop will be situated in the chairs’ cupboard.
When you leave the hall please do not chat in the car park as another group may be coming in and we do not want to mix together.
You must have a MASK on when you come into the Village Hall, in the foyer, and in the corridors and toilets. We do not have to wear a mask in the main hall, but please wear one if you feel safer. If you forget your mask, I have some disposable ones, and these will be 70p each.
Do NOT bring any books back as we are not allowed to sell them, you cannot exchange them with anybody inside the hall or in the car park. The virus can last 24 hours on Cardboard, and up to four days on paper.
An especially important request is that you only come to the class where your name is on the list (if your name is not down on any class please ring me straight away (01527 454153)
I know there are classes with small numbers but please do not think you can just turn up as you may not be the only one and we will then have too many. You will not be let in if your name is not down on the list, it just would not be fair!!
If anyone feels they want to leave coming back for a while, please ring me and I will keep your space open for you. Also, if you do not want to come back line dancing again please let me know ASAP.
To get us back Alan and I have spent a lot of time to get us dancing this early, with maps, Risk Assessments, buying markers and a thermometer, and god knows how many sanitizers, guidelines for you reminding the ‘rules,’ printing and laminating a 100 cutting them up then having to do them all over again cause the rules have changed!! These, by the way, will be given to everyone when you come into the hall and are small enough to go into your purse and an A4 size will be on every chair. Also, I have only been able to get the extra sessions as some groups are not wanting to come back till September so, if the day, and time is not to your liking, please do not moan at me because I am not moving anyone around for at least a month. (Then you can moan at me.) Please bear in mind I have put you in groups you all know and anyway most girls know each other from the parties we have had. The lists of classes follow this letter.
I will sort the Country and Western tickets out the following week of starting our classes and see what you want to do regarding the money and tickets.
I do hope everything can soon return to the same fun, enjoyable, laughing, cock ups that your instructor makes classes, we had before this Corona Virus took everything away from us and our ‘normal’ lives. Let us pretend we are coming back after our Christmas Break!!!
Love and Hugs,
Jan and Alan
